what drives me

For more than two decades, I have been fortunate to work from both within operations and consulting.  I have also been fortunate to have worked along the entire value chain eg. manufacturing, purchasing, distribution to retail.

Operations provided me with key insights and depth of activities within the industry and value chain.  Consulting gave me a macro overview of the structures and diagnostic capabilities to identify imminent changes, trends and disruption that could occur.  Together, these experiences have enabled me to hone in as a consultant to incisively diagnose challenges and opportunities within an organisation, and relate it in the context of an individual industry.

Consulting is a passion.  It is the build up from taking target at the ‘right’ issue and working through with leaders, the compelling rationale that ‘that’ is the future and way ahead, that energises me.  Hitting that breakthrough moment with leaders, and knowing that we have a plausible and sustainable projected future in hand, is core to my motivation.  Helping leaders through this entire process of enquiry, tempered with industry knowledge and arriving at an educated decision, is what drives me.

Future Thinking Training

Testimonials

The course brought a "Science" into business planning. Following Wai Leng's guidance step by step will lead to a well thought out business plan. The program conducted over a period of 4 half days was excellent as it allowed for thinking time. Most importantly, being in professional services, I achieved envisioning some potential new normals. An excellent program that serious business owners must attend with their management team.

A very good and comprehensive 4-day program to consider different angles to leverage your business in the new normal – or any normal, in fact. Ms Wai Leng teaches the basic frameworks as well as gives relatable examples and case studies to make sure you have the tools to think wide and deep about how to bring your business to the next level in this season of change.
